I gave up about 6 years ago and still have a craving most days, but I have never succumbed.
I plan to start again when I'm 80 (i'm 50 now), just because it probably won't matter to me then, assuming I get that far.

I gave it up 18 years ago. I did often used to suck on a polo whilst smoking, but this was largely so I wasn't too pongy afterwards I think.
Delighted to say, I almost never fancy one now..

Gave up 3 weeks ago yesterday, fucking hard going especially when drinking or having a shit day. Evil habit, has had me hooked for 28 years.

Funnily enough when you smoke minty cigs lots of people say that, so I did try. It didn't really work.
Glad I gave up though. I put out my last one on 31st January 2015 and haven't lit up another since, even while pissed. Just didn't want to smoke any more, so stopped. Naturally in the course of typing this reply I now fancy one...

I gave up over a year ago, but read this week that menthols (my fags of choice) have now been banned in Europe. Shops can sell off their stock but by 2020 there will be none at all.
Put your money in mentol flavouring kits. It'll be the next decade's big thing.

My youngest son was recently given a West Ham crest emblazoned Zippo.
Thankfully it doesn't work and he doesn't seem to know how to fix it..
